Wow. I remember writing this one off as soon as I saw the opening sequence. Giving away that the killer is Jason’s mother five minutes into the film! That’s Friday’s biggest secret! Your review, though, has made me wonder if I wasn’t a bit too hasty. Judging the film by what I wanted/expected to see rather than what was put on the screen. I might have to give this one another view.

Great call on Jason X though. That might be my favorite one.

I really enjoyed this remake, much more so than the Nightmare remake. I heard talk of a sequel soon after this one came out. It doesn’t seem like much, but I remember the filmmakers talking about putting Jason in a snowy environment and that seemed pretty cool.

Halloween is such an awesome time of the year! Just once I’d like to watch an entire scary movie on the night of Halloween. I’ll see if I don’t get scared halfway through it though.

I’m glad to hear you liked this one too, Pax. I get a lot of slack for it, but this reboot is definitely one of the better ones I’ve seen. Like you said, they add a lot to the “mythology” of Jason and how he’s able to pull off the seemingly supernatural feats he does.

I will say that I wasn’t crazy about the “false cast” in the beginning and the ending was “eh,” but those things aside I really enjoy this one!
